You know what really, really annoys me?
People (mostly middle/high school girls) who add extra letters into whatever they're writing!
A girl on my friends list on Facebook ALWAYS does this. She writes "good" as "goooood" or "bed" as "Beddd", and "text" always has at least tree Xs in it, so "texxxt". It's so obnoxious!
I understand the occasional typo, I'm sure I have plenty of typos. But to consistently add extra letters? It's senseless. It certainly doesn't make them look any smarter or cooler, so what's the deal? Why would you do that?
It's definitely one of my pet peeves.

On a semi related note, I wonder what is so difficult about spelling out you and to via instant messages and facebook. I know there are other words people insist on shorting that don't need to be because they are short to begin with but that's a couple of them.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest pet peeves is when at a campground or state park or anywhere where pets are supposed to be leashed and they are not. Your dog may seem friendly but you don't know how its going to react with another. I always keep my dogs on a leash. Yes, I'd like to let them run free too, but I'm not going to take the risk of letting my dogs get hurt. I've had loose dogs come by mine and they got into a fight and it pisses me off. What is so dang difficult about having them on a leash?? There are retractable leashes so you can let them go out farther and just reel them in when you need to.
