April already?
I can't believe how fast this year is going already! And it isn't even a busy time of the year. I can't believe it...

I really enjoyed yesterday's weather. It only made it up 34, but that's considerably better than the 20s it has been lately. And it was foggy. I normally wouldn't care too much for fog, but I was outside walking to work and the humidity felt so good! The weather app on my phone said it was 93% humidity, and it's just been so dry lately that it was really nice!
I know we still have a LOT of winter left, but now I'm really looking forward to spring and summer!
But I can take of advantage of this colder weather to get more sewing done, since I can't spend time outside. I can sew spring and summer dresses for the upcoming warm weather!

Smart phone!
So, Jeremy just signed up for US Cellular. He had previously been using Virgin Mobile. For $25/month he got unlimited text and web, and 200 talk minutes. I would have signed up too, but by the time I was ready they had increased their monthly rate to $35. Too much! But Jeremy was grandfathered in, and will have the same price as long as he stays with them. He switched to US Cellular yesterday, and we figured hey, if I just hand him the cash every month he can keep his Virgin Mobile phone active and let me use it! So, I just inherited a smartphone with a great plan!

Oy!
I woke up around 7:20 on Monday. I had just gone out to the living room when I heard my cell phone ring, so I went back to my room, and saw that it was Chloe: One of the other girls who works at Luke. I answered and she asked me if I could go in to work for a little while. She worked at 8:00, but her cats nose had been bleeding all night and she needed to take him to the vet.
Jeremy already worked at 8:00, so I walked to work with him. I didn't eat breakfast first. I wasn't hungry, and we get to eat around 10:30 at work anyway.
We got to the back door and saw our boss struggling to get the door open. He told us the lock was broken. Bummer! He said that when Danielle got to work that we should go wait in her car to stay warm, and he was going to call a locksmith. Danielle got there a couple minutes later and we sat in her car. The locksmiths took awhile to get there. We didn't get in until just after 9:30! At that point, Chloe was back from the vet and ready to work. But we were over an hour and half behind at that point, so Luke asked me to stay until 1:00 to help get things caught up. We'd been closed on Sunday, so Saturday no one had made any of the salads or anything, so we need to get them all ready. It wouldn't have been a big deal had we gotten in the building at 8:00, but nobody clocked in until 9:35. I had to make brushetta, tuna salad, and roast turkey salad. In order to make the last two I had to cut celery. Then I had to cut American cheese. And help shred turkeys. And...well, lots of stuff. It was a crazy day!

Winter?
What's wrong with winter?! We've hardly had any truly cold (under 32 degrees) days! We've only had snow that stuck once (about 3/4) inch, and a few flurries.
Depressing! I want snow! I want to go sledding. But right now it's 46* out and my mom just took Odo for a walk, and neither of them need their coats (yes, we do have a doggy coat for Odo).
So I bet this means we'll have a snowy spring, when I won't want snow anymore..
I think we need this much snow. Just once...

Funny Quote
"Silent Night" playing on TV: "... sleep in heavenly peace!"
Jeremy: "Did you hear that? Heavenly Peace...not heavenly peas! Although I'm sure God likes vegetables."
